PLAY THERAPY
What is Play Therapy?
Where imagination becomes a tool for healing
Play therapy is a specialized approach that uses the power of play to help children process emotions, develop coping skills, and navigate challenges in their lives. Unlike ordinary play, play therapy is guided by a trained therapist who helps the child explore and resolve emotional or behavioral issues in a safe and supportive environment.
Rooted in methods developed in the early 20th century, modern play therapy includes a wide range of techniques that honor how children naturally express themselves. Through play, children can communicate their feelings, build problem-solving abilities, practice new behaviors, and strengthen their relationships with others—all in a way that’s developmentally appropriate and emotionally safe.
